The digital precision gas mixer is a universal portable device that can be used to produce a discretionary mixture of air and gas chosen by the user. The equipment is fully automatic, only the selected gas, air and power needs to be connected.

The mixing process is closed-loop. In the case of prescribed input pressures and the lowest possible differential pressure setpoint, the mixture is generated independently of ambient pressure. Given that mixing happens in an isolated system, the generated mixture is not influenced by either ambient temperature or humidity. No oil lubrication is necessary for the mixing unit to operate, i.e. no oil vapours are introduced to the mixture, so such cannot deposit on the cadmium disc of the device used for testing intrinsically safe equipment or in the gap of the MESG device, thereby rendering measurement impossible.
Mixer accuracy is ± 0.1% by vol. The required gas/air mixture can be selected across the full range of 1–99% by vol. without having to use any auxiliary equipment.
