In addition to being designated in the EU under Directive 2014/34/EU, ExVA Kft. is a member of the international IECEx organisation (International Electrotechnical Commission System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres, IECEx System). IECEx System is also a global certification system, which also engages in standardisation work for standards applicable to equipment used in explosive environments.

Australia and New Zealand recognise certification under the IECEx System. Besides those countries, testing and certification under the IECEx System provides a suitable technical basis for performing testing and certification corresponding to the respective country’s requirements, in other words, a certificate under the IECEx System helps users/resellers in obtaining certification that complies with the given country’s requirements.
An ExTR report is drafted about laboratory tests in compliance with the rules and procedures that the IECEx System issues, while a QAR report is created regarding an OEM’s QA-related readiness, and then, based on those, the certification body issues a product certificate. ExTR, QAR reports and certificates are stored online on the IECEx System website, and are accessible for viewing in English by anyone.
By request from the manufacturer, ExVA Kft. issues a licence authorising the use of the IECEx Mark of Conformity. This consists of the IEC logo and a unique identifier under the Ex caption, and manufacturers have the right to affix it on their products.
